I originally ordered 2 cases and one was so hard to get on that I actually had to cut it to get it off. I posted a one star review and finally decided to try the second case which did fit OK. I then posted a four star review. Customer support contacted me and apologized for the trouble and offered to send me replacements when the new cases came out in July. They sent me four of the new cases.
The new cases look exactly like the old, but they do have a different feel to them. They go on very nicely. I still have not quite mastered getting them off as easily, but they do come off easier than the old ones did. My only real complaint, which explains the four star rating, is there is still a loss of touch sensitivity. I don't see any way to avoid that, however given the nature of protective covers. All in all these are very nice cases and I would recommend them.

I got two cases: iphone and itouch. there are bubbles but i've not tried to get rid of them. the company is VERY reponsive. I can think of several companies that should be 1/2 as responsive.

So I had a go with the shades case and I loved everything about them except the sticking after emailing with a complaint I was sent 2 new cases... One of them is Awesome it is made of a new material that does not stick but the clear case they sent is the same as my old one and still sticks so I cannot use it. All in all I highly reccomend these new cases that do not stick, the company has fast shipping a great product and fantastic customer service :)

I ordered a shade for two different ipods. The shade for my classic fit great, went on smooth and easy; protects and looks awesome.
The nano shade was impossible to get on and I eventually split it. I contacted customer service and they were in the process of sending another out free of charge, when I realized that I had ordered the wrong one. I contacted them and despite it being my mistake, they are sending me out the correct one at no cost to me.
I'm very happy all around!

My dad and I recently got iPhones and couldn't believe just how fragile they felt! So, I went on a case hunt. I bought both of our cases through Amazon, and we received them within three days! My only two complaints are that the case took forever to manhandle on, which I guess means it really is snug, and also the 'Hot' Pink that I got isn't very hot pink. My dad loves his dark blue though! The really great feature is that the case covers the whole phone, making it the best. It doesn't impede the touch factor at all! Great product, though I'm not happy with my not so 'Hot' Pink.

I had a horrible time deciding to get my new iPhone a case... the phone is just so sleek and feels so smooth on it's own... then I saw a scratch... in my 2 day old phone, that I baby like an egg... ahhhh!
So I spent literally hours researching cases that wouldn't be obtrusive, wouln't take away from the look of my iphone, after all I didn't spend $300 plus an early termination with Verizon, for an ugly phone. Then I was worried about screen protection... I refuse to put those adhesive like, spray me down with water, horrible screen protector on my little beauty.
So, that led me to the Shades Case... which just arrived, in Ultra Violet and Clear (2 for 1 deal, as if it could have got any better)... the phone went in pretty easily, and looks awesome, and now I feel that I can set it down on my desk without making sure the space is dust and dirt free first. I just wish it was possible to "seal" up the bottom (where you slide the phone in at), but then it wouldn't be as easy as it was to use.

I love this case so much, that I have all my ipods/iphones covered with shades. At first it was really hard trying to take it out but it works just great. I couldn't be happier to cover the front, that's the most important reason why I even bought this case. It works great too, just that I thought the air bubble would go away after usage but it's still showing up... I just insert a business card sometimes and it goes away and then goes towards to back, but still its a great case. I'd given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the bubbles...

I like the feel and looks of the shades they dont feel bulky and it protects the screen witch is what i really wanted but when i got the 2 shades the major problem is the bubbles in one shades and the other is not well trimmed out with black spots and it seems like they were already used. oh and the company should make more colors like silver, white,burgandy and well whatever other color there is.

I drop my iphone all the time! I'm not bragging it's just a habit. I've spent alot of money on protective iphone gear and until I came across Shades cases I found myself replacing my iphone every few months. I am completely STOKED to say I still have my same habits but have not had to replace my iphone in over a year. It is still brand new looking and the awesome thing is, Shades comes in AWESOME colors so I can change whenever. I actually think I have ALL the colors!!!! Everyone should tell everyone about these things, I cannot say enough great things about them. The guys that came up with these are AWESOME! THANKS SHADES GUYS YOU ROCK!!!!!!

Bubbles won't go away

I ordered a clear case for the 3G. The case was to stiff and kept hitting the ringer volume. I called the company they were waiting for a new shipment to arrive. One month later they contacted me and are sending a few cases for the wait. I very pleased to stand by a company that always wants to help make the customer happy.

I recently ordered 2 cases for my ipod classic. One, in ultra violet and the other in hot pink. They both are very vibrant colors even over my black ipod. My only problem is when I put my pink one on there were aready scuff marks on the inside. They are very visible and it annoys the heck out of me. So, I probably won't end up using that one. They both fit very well and I had no trouble getting them on or off. If the pink one wasn't scratched up I would have given 5 stars.

Ordered this product on a Thursday - received it on Saturday. So, before even opening the package, I was liking the product already. After only a few minutes use, I am very impressed with the Shades cases. I purchased one for the Iphone classic and one for the Iphone 3g - WE NO LONGER HAVE TO PEEL OUR APPLE!!! After sliding the case on the phones, we immediately docked them - with the case on, the phone sits nicely in its cradle.
As others have mentioned, a bit odd that there is no cutout for the volume or the power, but until I find not having the cutouts a problem, I will give Shades the benefit of the doubt that their decision on this design is most appropriate. Plus, I can only assume that Shades will decrease the amount the of gunk that tends to creep inside the countless other cases I have tried.

Thanks Shades - after only an hour, I think that I have finally found a case, I mean Shade, that has finally met my high, probably unrealistic expectations of what an Iphone protector should be. While, I might be employing a razor blade to personally modify my Shade in the future...right now, it is just right! Oh, and by the way, for me to take the time to write a review for a product is uncharacteristic...but the first thing I felt needed to be done was to thank Shades for such a great product!

A really liked this case for my ipod touch. i didnt like the area that covered the screen, but i just cut that with an exacto knife and it was fine.

Bought two cases and love them so we bought four more. Red, blue, pink purple and yellow. We love them all. One problem with the blue one is it has some scratches that look white on the screen. Other than that they rock!
Had minor problems with 1 out of 4 cases. Within minutes of contacting them, they had a new case in the mail. Awesome Customer Service. Thank You

Actually this is not really a question, just a note to let you know how much I like my new Shades cases for my 32GB iPod Touch. Did I say "like"? "Love" my new iPod Touch cases would be a better description. I am a previous customer, and purchased a case for my iPod Video 80GB a while back. This case for the iPod Touch, slid on perfectly, and easily, and looks and feels great. Yep....I "love" my new iPod Touch all clear, and Rosy Red case. Thank you...Al McDonnell

I bought the cobalt blue case for my 80gb iPod Classic. I was using a leather, flip-top, side-opening holder but the ipod slipped around inside it too much. This Shades case is a perfect fit, looks great, fingerprints wipe off easily and, when I need my leather holder for clipping my iPod on my clothing, the Shades case fits right inside it. I'm buying two more today for my family.

this is the best case. it came in the mail the same day i got my 32gtouch2g makes it look awesome, but one thing it gets bubbles on the screen is there a way to stop that from happening?

ShadesCases.com - YES!. If the case is sticking, Just put some corn startch or baby powder on a paper towel and rubb the inside of the case.

I love the simplicity of this case and it does what it says, but it's the blotchy air bubbles that drive me crazy. I know that seems to be the common complaint and I didn't think it would bother me, but it does. It shows up also when anything white comes up on my screen. I've tried every trick I've seen on youtube or read, and nothing seems to cure them. The only thing I didn't try and won't try is powder of some sort. If the air bubbles could be remedied somehow, this would be awesome. ShadesCases.com - the simple corn starch trick will work.

love how shades protects my ipod with a dash of color sans the bulkiness. they ship so quickly across the continent which is amazing.
loathing the black marker like stains and one of the shades doesn't fit well, the pink circle at the wheel made it obvious. and the air bubbles drive me nuts (only the one which doesn't fit has air bubbles).

No one likes an air bubble. You try to push it out but to no avail. it ruins the entire product. i love the shade and how slim it is, but the air bubbles will drive you crazy!

Great case for sure, I wanted something that would protect the phone from scratches yet not make it any larger in size, or make it hard to slip in and out of pockets. Does exactly what it is meant to do. Only bad part is how the case sticks to the screen. It didn't at all at first (the clear part of the case was actually raised off from the screen, after pushing down on it it would spring back up), but I took it out to clean it and now it sticks wherever I put pressure, no luck on fixing it. Other than that, great product.

I'm really happy with this case. I hate scratches on my iPod but I don't like bulky cases. This one is perfect for me, because I can still use my car dock. Plus, it looks really great - no problems with bubbles on the screen. Great case!

I'm getting my case on Wednesday or Thursday. So I don't have my case yet, but I must say this is the best place you can buy a case! The customer service is awesome so I can get in touch with them and know that I can have whatever question or whatever answered within a day or day and a half. Jennifer rocks! She sent a reply to my question about shipping the day after I asked it and instead of shipping my case during the 3-6 day period I payed for she shipped it just an hour ago (I bought the case yesterday) and now I can happily be content to know I'm getting my case in two or three days. This place rules. I'll be writing another reply about the case when I get it!

2nd case better than first

After reading all of the reviews I decided to try the midnight black case. This one was actually fairly easy to put on. It only took a couple of minutes. Apparently the first case was just a bit smaller making it very hard to install and remove. I like this case better but still don't care for the loss in sensitivity.

I've had the Shades case about a month now and in general reaally like it. The bubble problem persists. I've tried the suggestions found in F.A.Q. but so far the bubbles still appear. I'm trying to be patient as Shades says they will eventually go away but it is starting to annoy me. I give it 3 stars but if the bubbles go away I will give it 5 stars. Time will tell.

I got my case and was pretty much excited until I actually tried to use it. For one it took a while to get the phone all the way in cuz it was sticking to the phone! I thought they have been redesigned not to stick anymore or perhaps I got the original version?

I just recently received this case from shades,and it is a very nice case, keeps the slimness of your ipod, and doesn't add any noticeable bulk. Im also glad that they are being environmentally friendly, so that is always a good thing. Nothing bad to say. Good Job Shades.

A few weeks ago, I bought a case for my ipod touch. It was very slim, but the screen protector was sticking very badly. I wrote a negative review on the website. A few days later, I got an email that I had gotten a defective case,and a new one had already been shipped. It arrived today and works perfectly. Thank you so much customer service

I ordered the "clearly original" case for my iPod touch and its awesome. I wanted a case that would cover the screen but could only find one hard one that made the iPod huge, then I saw these in one of TheiPodKids videos and ordered one. It's great it offers almost all the protection of the hard case without the bulky ugliness. My only complainant is that one of the side edges was bigger and roughly cut i just trimmed it with and exacto knife, its not perfect but its better than anything else out there.

I ordered two shades about a month ago, one for the Ipod Touch 1G and another for the Ipod touch 2G. I kept the 1G and gave my friend the 2G. The one for my 1G was not fitting well and the home button was not aligned with the home button cut out. The one for my friend's 2G came with a ripped seam on the right side. Today my friend was able to get shades to send us two brand new cases for no cost at all. THAT IS AMMAAAAAAAZING!!!! It still hard for me to belive, thank you shades, you guys put together such good service for your customers.

I recently bought a midnight black ipod touch 1g case. I thought it was very slim, as promised. although, the screen protector part was very blotchy and the case was almost impossible to get off. I think shades cases are a good idea, but need improvement.

I am a college student attached to my Ipod Touch 2G:
I was hard-pressed to find an attractive, functional, case until I stumbled upon Shades! I love the fact that I can have a fun color, and have full protection. I throw the ipod in my purse between classes, and NEVER worry! It also clings, and lets me enjoy the slender make of the device, without any blockage of my buttons or loosing touch-sensitivity. Couldn't have asked for more. Very Satisfied!

PROS: FULL protection, Beautiful colors, full use of all of my ports/buttons/touch screen. Compliments slender make of the device. CONS: air bubbles often get trapped under the cling of the plastic.

The shade fits great on my iPod Classic, but the bubbles on the screen are annoying. Hopefully they go away like the instructions say.
It's also difficult to use the click wheel since it's covered. I think I might try cutting this section out. (Plus the raised labels on the click wheel section look awkward.)

well i didnt know what cases were good for my ipod touch and i looked at different ones for days. i never thought id find the perfect one but i was searching on google and this website came up. i thought they looked great and it was a great offer because for one case at the apple store its 30 dollars for 1 and shades you get 2 for 16 bucks. anyways i got 2 from shades and 1 from apple and honestly these are the best the sceen never gets dirty and looks great! thanks shades

I recently ordered an shade for my ipod 4th gen nano, and wasn't very happy with the condition or fit of the case, so i wrote a less than favorable review, and Jennifer from customer service saw my review, quickly sent me not one but two replacement cases free of charge, awesome customer service, the cases are in new condition, and allthough the scroll function doesn't work very well, after reading several reviews, it just takes a little time for the cases to soften and work well, Thank You Shades for such wonderful customer service.

First off, the Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal is a steal! I've made 2 orders already and have referred this product to friends. The product itself does what it is suppose to do; protect the product from scratches. The colors add a nice touch, but overall it does look a little plastic-y--but what cover in this price range doesn't? Also, one of my covers ripped when I tried putting it on, but Jennifer from Shades was very helpful and offered to replace the ripped cover. However there are 2 suggestions I hope they can take into consideration: (1) The iPhone 3G covers dont have holes for the volume and the off button (2) the plastic screen cover for the iPhone 3G can be more durable. But overall, this is one of the best covers I came across in the past few years.

Very pleased with my Shades. Received it in 3 days! It slid on with minimal effort and fits my Classic to a "t". Only issue is that it doesn't fit my docking station now. Nothing a drummel won't fix. Ultraviolet is beautiful. Definitely recommend this product.
